The primary lease of the old railway building (currently known as the Beechworth Youth Centre) has been granted to the Food Co-Op. As part of this arrangement, Indigo U3A will continue its current use of the large, multi-purpose room, storage areas and kitchen. Some renovations will happen at a time to be fixed but in the meantime we are proceeding with our program schedule as set earlier this year.
President, Indigo U3A
Peter FitzSimons' recent novel, Burke & Wills, is our first monthly read.
The book was the first choice of the four members attending the inaugural meeting of the club at the Beechworth Youth Centre.
Book Club members hope Peter FitzSimons will autograph a copy for the club when he launches his book at the Burke Museum on Tuesday 20 February. His talk will give members plenty to consider when they meet to discuss the book on 15 March.
